Hi, we are Joanna and Simon. We live with in Staffordshire with our dogues.
How did we get into them? I ask myself the same question ... But the answer is easy they are addictable!!
When we first decided we were going to get a dog we argued for 8 months over what breed to get. I used to have Staffies, he said no. He used to have a labrodor, I said no. Everytime we came across a breed that one liked the other said no and on it went. Then we came across Dogue de Bordeaux and both agreed (this doesn't happen much in marriages!) that we had to have one.
Like many others we started with just the one, Tessa, but we couldn't fight the urge to get another. This is how we met Pete Morris. He sold us Ellie and got us into showing, aswell as teaching us about dogues.
We mated his dog Billie with Tessa and had our 1st litter of puppies. Out of this litter we produced the 1st puppy to ever qualify for Crufts, Bonzo.
If we had the room we would have 101 dogues as we love everything about them....even the slobber up the walls!!
